Véronique Tilman

Architect, graduated from school of architecture Saint-Luc (UCL, Loci), Brussels in 2000.
In 1999, she attends an ERASMUS program at the UPC, ETSAB of Barcelona.
Between 2000 and 2002, she collaborates as a trainee in several architecture offices (Etau, Wautier & Vanden Eynde).
In 2002-2003, she attends an european Master in Architecture and Sustainable Development in Lausanne (EPFL) and Toulouse (ENSA) in collaboration with the UCL.
Between 2003 and 2012, she collaborates with bureau Coupez & Associés architectes sprl. She acquired a strong experience in housing both in the revonation and transformation field, as well as green building new construction.
In 2012, she creates GIID architecture with Michel Cuypers in Brussels. Together, they continue to work with complicity and complementarity.

Michel Cuypers

Architect, graduated with distinction from school of architecture Saint-Luc (UCL, Loci), Brussels in 1997.
In 1996, he attends in San Marino the summer Workshop organised by the ILAUD (International Laboratory of Architecture and Urban Design) leaded by renowned italian architect GianCarlo De Carlo.
In december 1997, he’s co-winner of the international competition for the new city library in Boechout (Antwerp) and becomes co-founder of ARJM gie.
Between 1997 and 2001, he collaborates with Groep Planning (now SUM), Serge Roose & Partners, DMA (now ma2).
In 2003, the project for the Boechout library comes first at the triennial Charles Duyver prize.
Between 1997 and 2006, as part of ARJM, he wins several competitions and builds : the city library in Boechout, a 6 units social housing + commercial space in Schaerbeek (place Gaucheret), the Oostende KA1 highschool (Westvlanderen prize 2008), the hospitality and tourism training facility in Managua – Nicaragua for Lux Development, a 6 units social housing + medical center in Schaerbeek (rue de Jérusalem).
Between 2006 and 2012, he designs several public and private projects, both new constructions and renovations in association with Emmanuel Tonglet. He also regularly collaborates with the architectural visualization office Quick’it.
In 2012, he creates GIID architecture with Véronique Tilman in Brussels. Together, they continue to work with complicity and complementarity.


GIID is member of the Passive Housing Platform – PMP since 2012.
GIID is member of the Ecoconstruction cluster since 2014.

GIID shares the projects of Ecoconso and Ecobatisseurs.
